Li's Blog: Keeping your positive foot forward....

Keeping your positive foot forward....

Summer-summer sings a siren song at this time of year.

In the middle of summer, swimming and kayaking and sailing, it's impossible to believe that the earth will soon freeze and snow appear.  In the middle of winter, I simply do not believe that it will ever be possible to jump in the ocean by choice, ever again.   What is that about...this inability to imagine "other"?

A good idea to remember that unhappy things do not go on forever, and neither do happy events.    We can hold positive things in our minds and hearts, though, and that will carry us through.   Wise writers, philosophers, psychologists have all reminded us that if we smile, even when we don't want to, that our mood will elevate.

In real estate, a market like any other, full of ups and downs, with nothing static, it's good to remember to remain positive, and to look for the summer-summer moment in the midst of any downturn.   What did Thales, that savvy Ancient Greek have to say?  One never steps into the same river water twice.

Onward!

Hello Li - is it appropriate for the saying "tough times don't last but tough people do" to come to mind while reading your post?

Hi Li-Love your positive words. Things...good and bad...never last forever. We need to remember and relish the good times and understand that the bad times take us one step closer to the good times.

Li, this is a very optimistic post, and very true too. Nothing lasts forever, and you're right, just smiling can elevate our overall mood. Here's to a Sunday filled with plenty of smiles and laughter. D

Li Read - You are an Irish blessing, even if you are not or you are Irish! I find you to always be a positive force.

In honor of Spring and St. Patrick's Day, always remember, all green things eventually grow. May you be surrounded by green, good luck, positive growth, and love always.
