We are so surrounded by beauty in the great Pacific Northwest Coastal area, that we can sometimes just "take it for granted".
In the summer season, though, if we're lucky enough to be out at sea, on a sailboat say, where the wind's quiet presence allows us to drift and dream our way along this watery highway, we can be recalled to the beauty that totally surrounds us.
Nothing is ever perfect, of course...squalls blow up, the sea can show a threatening side, too...but on an idyllic day, it's good to accept the gift of Nature, and to immerse ourselves in that smoothing out moment that an ocean bound day trip always seems to deliver on.
Time outs are allowed, remember...it's the summer season!
