Ah....a summer house! Sit beside the seaside, lots of room for relatives and friends, barbecue beside the beach, hot tub with a view, swimming when the tide rolls in across that hot sandy beach, wind surfing and sailing, kayaking out to islets at the Harbour's mouth, lolling in a deck chair, umbrella shade, lemonade and a good book at hand....we all have our own recipe for summer days.
Such a short season, though. Media full of "back to school" ads, shorter days on the way, maples turning early, hmm....haven't checked the Farmer's Almanac yet, to see what Fall has in store for us, weather wise. June on the Pacific Northwest Coast was truly Juneuary, so maybe we'll be lucky and Fall will turn out to be much warmer, much later.
For now, though, it's back to the beach, a quick dip, and star watching from the deck, tonight.
