Ah...summer scene!
On a dreary day on the "wet coast", it's good to remember that winter is just a season, and that summer is right there, around the next bay!
So lovely....
At the moment, it's cold, that damp cold that the Pacific Northwest Coast is famous for, a sort of "thick rain", almost sleet (yes, snow is forecast for us this year), and it's not quite Holiday Light Up time (that's next weekend), so it looks a little grey...grey sky, grey sea, grey rain, clouds drifting through the higher elevation forests....
So, I will take my Vitamin D, and will concentrate on the summer ambiance....after December 20th, the days get longer and early flowering shrubs burst into pink and white flowers by late January, and snowdrops are clustered in sheltered spaces.
Ah...summer lives in the imagination, always....
