Finally, summer has arrived in my Pacific Northwest Coast area! Whether one lives in Seattle or on Orcas Island or in Vancouver, B.C., or on Salt Spring Island, or anywhere else in the Puget Sound / Georgia Strait area, we've been having "winter weather" patterns.
I ended up calling it Juneuary!
Today, with a "flash and dazzle", we have real summer...sailboats out, kayakers on the way to Chocolate Island, umbrellas up at the restaurants for al fresco dining, the lakes offering warm swimming, picnics at Ruckle Park and at Mt. Maxwell Park, a feeling of ease and comfort, the summer ethic, comes with the shedding of down vests (yes, it was that cold on Sunday!).
Summer does invite us to "take five", and to "just be"....wherever you are, I hope it's dulcet days for you, too!
