It's a grey and drizzling "wet coast" day, with lumps of melting snow on the road edges in the "shady spots"...at this time of year, when we can pretty well count on rain and gray, it's a pleasure to note the daffodil and tulip bulbs poking up in all the gardens!
This photo was taken in early March, so we're on the cusp of "winter into early spring", and that's a heartening sign, for sure.
Meantime, the flower store and I are on good terms, and I try to keep yellow tulips on my desk, for the duration....something about that sunny burst of colour that keeps me happily sliding along this back side of winter, and into the "spirng mode".
And your hidden secrets for this time of year are? Always welcome!
