Spring garden for Winter days....

Property Photo

Yes, I know...this is kind of cheating!    At this time of year, though, when the grey and the fog and the rain of the famously "wet coast" descends, on the Pacific Northwest Coast side of the continent, it's good to be reminded of the treasures of Spring, Summer, and Fall in this area!

This is a May garden, and right now it's buried beneath a drift of gold/brown maple leaves.     We don't get frosts, here, and so our maples do not turn the amazing scarlet enjoyed by the east side of the continent!

Some people travel to the California desert, or to Arizona, and even to Hawaii, in our greyer time.    For those of us who are always "here", though, this kind of a trick, an amazing garden photo blown up and put on the office wall, like a poster, keeps us going.

Isn't that why people love to read through seed catalogues, at this time of year?

And your "work arounds" are?
