Two unexpected concerts in the ArtSpring lineup: April 23rd at 8 p.m., enjoy Gamelan Gita Amsara, an ensemble playing Balinese instruments, accompanied by dancers from the Indonesian island. Salt Spring Island Blossom Festival (April 8, 9, 10th) will include restaurants, gardens, vineyards, farms, art galleries, and retailers in this welcoming event.
People will be encouraged to visit a number of sites on the tour and have their "Blossom Festival Passport" stamped to be eligible for prizes. Twenty participants include Harbour House Hotel, Foxglove, TJ Beans, Apple Luscious Orchard, and some beautiful private gardens.
A "Taste of Salt Spring" event at the Harbour House Hotel on Sunday, the 10th, will feature food from Island chefs (confirmed include: Hastings House Hotel, Auntie Pesto's, Rock Salt Restaurant, Raven Street Cafe, and Mistaken Identity Vineyards).
Saturday, the 9th, enjoy a Picnic in the Park, 9 to noon, at the Peace Park (across from ArtSpring)...special performance by renowned performer, Raffi, now a Salt Spring resident.
