A different "vibe" at TJ Beans, at the corner of McPhillips and Lower Ganges Roads...the patio/deck with the key view of Village comings and goings! On Saturday Market in the Park days, they offer a mini-donut stand, with proceeds going to the foodbank.
Next door to TJ Beans, there's the allure of Salt Spring Books...don't miss this gem! Art supplies here, too.
Further up McPhillips Avenue, enjoy the Salt Spring Fine Art Gallery...an artists cooperative, this is a thriving and exciting new gallery on the Salt Spring scene.
In that inner space between McPhillips and Fulford-Ganges Roads, you find Barb's Bakery and Bistro (still called Barb's Buns by the "real locals"!), with spelt muffins, enticing ginger twists, amazing breads, and a great place for breakfast or lunch...a time tunnel place in the best sense of the word!
Just at the entrance into "Barb's", off McPhillips, there's Watermark Books. Local poets represented here!
At the top of McPhillips, one discovers ArtSpring...check out its gallery showcases, too.
Beside the Park, the home of the Saturday Market, it's Harbour Centre...here is Bruce's Kitchen...eat in/take out, good food, emphasis on organic and local, and Bruce's Friday night communal dinners are not to be missed!
