Friday (the 23rd) attend an art showcase at Mahon Hall...organized by the art night group Artepelago, 32 local artists will be on hand to present their work: painting, photography, sculpture, fine craft, works on paper, and installation...enjoy talent!
The 2011/2012 Salt Spring Folk Club lineup: Oct 17th it's Roy Forbes (opened by Dave Harris); Nov 7th catch David Francey (opened by Ed Henderson); Dec 5th enjoy John Reischman & The Jaybirds (opener Alan Moberg); Jan 30th it's TARA, plus opener to be announced. Feb 27th finds Jim Byrnes & The Sojourners. And, of course, the final offering on March 26th, with the famed Gumboot Gala (featuring Bill Henderson & Valdy)...the annual fundraiser. Music Makers of the Anglican Parish create their Fall season with their new series of Simply Organic recitals with oh so talented organist Don Conley at the consul.
