Today is "real" Fall...the calendar says so!
Harvest Time can still hold many warmer & gently sunny days. Nights can be clear & cold...a perfect star-watchers canvas!
On Salt Spring, the bounty from local farmers is with us...Saturday Market & Tuesday Foodie Markets (two...one in morning & second one in afternoon) continue till end of October.
This Friday evening & Saturday afternoon are the Sip & Savour events...showcasing local food, with talented chefs showing how to prepare it, and award-winning local wines from the Island's vineyards to pair with the feast's offerings...lucky Islanders!
Annual Apple Fest is on Oct 2nd (thank you, Harry Burton!), and Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend is on Oct 10th.
Lots to be thankful for, indeed...remember to enjoy the outcomes of our garden energies, and to practice the attitude of gratitude...many challenges in our ever connected world, of course, but it is good to pause and to savour the fruition moments, too.
