In these days of up/down, so many changes, the one thing that we can rely on for consistency is Nature itself.
In the 1800s, the Romantic Movement in literature, music, art focused on Nature as an entity that could feed one's soul.
Nature is turbulent often, as anyone who lived through the unaccustomed snowstorms this past Winter can tell, but it also has moments of such beauty that it can make us speechless...if we are "looking" that is.
In the middle of our daily treadmills, enjoy a sunrise, a sunset, a hail storm, a flowering shrub, a lake, an ocean wave...the display is all around us.
The only poem I remember from school has lines that were along the thought that we needed to be looking at our surroundings, when Nature's beauty was there, or we would be living poor lives, indeed.
Maybe the Romantics had it right? To be aware of the surround sound of our physical world, in all its moments, can be a path to calmness...that little isle of "pause" in the restless shifting that we are currently experiencing, in our business lives.
Real estate agents are lucky in that we often live in exceptional places, with terrific scenery...let's remember to pay attention when on our "daily rounds".
