Sunrises bring beauty, too.....

Property Photo

At this time of year, we get dramatic sunrises....this one shows the Canadian Southern Gulf Islands melting into the U.S. San Juan Islands, and beyond is the majesty of Mt. Baker, in Washington State.

Sunrises can be as evocative as sunsets, and the wonder of Nature can make us calm into ourselves, as we watch the beauty unfold.

As the days shorten, and it takes longer for that sun to appear, it's good that we take a little more time for ourselves.

Make sure you eat breakfast, to give energy that isn't delivered by the season.    Take a brisk walk to blow away the "cobwebs" that heated air can bring.    Open windows and doors, and air out the office or the home spaces, to clear those pesty microbes...nobody needs a bad cold!    Allow more time between appointments, as roads can be icy (black ice doesn't show).    Slow down a little...we're not bears, but there is a point to following Nature's rhythms.    Go to bed earlier, and soak up sleep.    Didn't Shakespeare talk about sleep kniiting up the raveled sleeve of care?    Nice image!

Cocooning isn't a bad idea at this darkening time of year....
