A rambling meandering day on special Salt Spring Island....

What about heading out to peaceful Fernwood, catching a coffee and a "sweetie" at the newly revived oceanview coffee/tea shop? Can find Brigitte's French Bakery goodies, here. Then walk the North Beach/Walker's Hook Roads directions...briskly! Bring the dog...check out the beach at low tide...stroll out to the end of Fernwood Dock!

How about joining the philosophers at Vesuvius Beach...sun and sand and some swimming...summer sun still there!

Don't forget the trails of Channel Ridge...some short/some long...all a good work-out for body and soul!

You get my message: do a brisk walk, 15 minutes a day. That, plus remembering Mom's advice ("eat your vegetables"), and it's a recipe for stepping into a super Fall season.

We can all remember that quick walk at some point in our day...wave, if you see me!

Walking the Village can be fun, too...it's the Saturday Market, today, plus gallery openings, art exhibits at ArtSpring & craft delights at ArtCraft...park at one end of the Village, and do the town by foot.   Another workout, and very smoothly, too.

Doesn't take much, but it's essential in going forward, in your life, in a healthy manner.   Practice makes perfect....
