Extend the helping hand...the butterfly moment is with us....

The interconnectedness of life has always been understood by spiritually minded people...not so evident in the recent past of the late 20th Century, though, among those locked into their own insular view.

That "my area is ok/so things are fine" perspective is now erased in this post-internet "real" 21st Century world view.

Someone twittering in Egypt can begin a social revolution, and the entire world is paying attention to outcomes in a distant and foreign country...those outcomes affect all populations.   Sectarian violence causes social upheaval on a giant scale.

Global business means that events in one country affect outcomes in another...profit and company stability/growth are dependent on all regions being equally viable.
It's a quest for balance, and all areas of the world are suddenly "equal".

The recent destruction in Japan, in the aftermath of the earthquake and its resulting tsunami, is now showing that no place in the world is safe from nuclear radiation...it is borderless, and the wind patterns that roll across the globe can spread/disperse very far from the point of the explosion.   Everyone is affected, whether 10 feet, 10 miles, or 1000 miles distant from the problem.

In a natural crisis...earthquake, tsunami, flood, hurricane, cyclone...no one country can cope alone with such catastrophe, and such events  always occur without warning.   Even with an emergency preparedness culture, no one is ever prepared for chaos, for the completely unimagined.

The helping hand to the afflicted party is the necessary response.   We are all in it together...the scale is now global.

We are all connected....there is no "them"...there is only "us".

The butterfly concept is with us.
