July 4, 2011.
Today is Independence Day in the U.S.
Like Canada's celebration on the 1st, it's a day to enjoy family & friends, and also a time to remember those who have gone before, and who have helped to create & to preserve the amazing lifestyle enjoyed today.
Most of Canada's population lives along the "border rim" between our two countries, and there is a north/south affinity, of course. Many cultural aspects are shared.
In my Southern Gulf Islands region, which floats in the "Salish Sea", adjacent to the U.S. San Juan Islands, that dotted border line, on the space map, can't be seen from a boat...we're all just "islanders", it seems!
Wishing all our U.S. friends a Happy July 4th!
How may I help you to discover special Salt Spring Island & the Southern Gulf Islands? Call me!
