Country roads....versus city pavements?
I used to love that children's story, the one about the country mouse and the city mouse. Wasn't it about a "grass is always greener" point of view? Country mouse thought his city cousin had the best lifestyle, and vice versa....
As a real estate agent in a rural area, I wonder sometimes what it would be like to be selling condos in a major city (we don't have condos in our area), or exploring the rental market in soft sales times (this is a seasonal market, so only brisk for rentals in the summer season, and weekly vacation rentals aren't allowed), or doing open houses (I suppose floor duty might be an equivalent in my area, but, again, it's a seasonal item...open houses just entertain the locals, here), or....you get the drift.
Sometimes we just crave the opposite of where we find ourselves, and perhaps that happens when it's a slow market, and we wonder about the grass on the other side of that city/country "divide".
Am about to take my dog and wander this forested tertiary road, and check out a quarter section parcel for sale...hmm, what would be the opposite of that, I wonder? The 70th floor in a high-rise?
Maybe I'll stick with the rural life, after all!
