May to October is considered to be the best weather time in our area, but the peak visits, tourism-wise, really occur in July/August/early September. Short & intense!
The entire Pacific Northwest Coast, whether in B.C. or Washington State, is at its best during these few weeks. If you're a boater, then the protected boating waters between the Canadian Gulf Islands and the U.S. San Juans are some of the best marine opportunities in the world!
