Such a lot of changes going on right now.
In my corner of the world, we were in "stay home/social distance" mode for ten weeks. This was a provincial government edict.
Only essential services were allowed to open (groceries, pharmacies, liquor store, the construction trades, and lawyers, realtors, land registry office). Now, we are slowly slowly entering "stage 3" of the soft reopenings.
The biggest change of all: the total turn to the online world. How many ZOOM meetings have you found yourself in? It's a strange communication method. A talking head...no body language, no intangible signals, just "announcements". How will this affect decision making at a meeting? As that savvy Ancient Greek, Aristotle, reminded us: we are social animals.
Strict showing protocols are in place: no open houses, children not inside for a showing, only 3 people in a house at a time for a viewing, perhaps only exterior viewing first (no point in interior if client doesn't like the neighbourhood or the lot), plus gloves, sanitizers, masks.
Many realtors are turning to the mattaport system, to be able to help the customer understand a house. People are sharpening up their video skills. Of course, drones are around. Change is just beginning. Realtors need a more seamless way to showcase their listings. Time for the techies to catch up with the robotics required. I always find that the technology is slower than the need.
Meantime, in the midst of all the geopolitical issues, the covid response interruptions to our lives, the worries about whether businesses will survive or not, and on and on it goes, it's a plan to just "stop". We are surrounded by the reality of our beautiful natural world. Make sure to look at it. To breathe. To be amazed by its surprises...rainbows are easy. A recognition of real reality, not the virtual variety, is a healer.
And your thoughts are? Always welcome.
